Tumbleweed provides opportunity for youth and young adults ages 16-21 as they transition from living on the streets to safe, permanent housing.
Through the temporary living program, youth gain and practice independent living skills in a community-style setting with onsite staff support and case management. Tumbleweed encourages positive youth development by utilizing strengths to build self-reliance.
In addition to providing case management and life skills development to a few young adults who are currently in independent apartments, Tumbleweed currently maintains two homes for transitional living with a total capacity of eleven. The homes are at full occupancy. The waiting list tells us there are youth and young adults ready and willing to transition to independent living; they just need a chance.
