How to Make a Personal Donation

Tumbleweed gratefully accepts financial support to help youth make lasting life changes. No donation is too small, and your donation can be used for a specific need or program of your choice. Your contribution is tax deductible, and you will receive a letter of acknowledgment for tax purposes. We may also ask you for the opportunity to publicly recognize your gift; however, this would only be done with your permission.

Specific needs and programs you may wish to support are:

  1. Prevention – Prevention of Youth Homelessness and Crisis Intervention
  2. Nightly Respite – Nightly Respite in the Drop-in Center for Homeless Youth
  3. Ending Homelessness – Resource Center for Homeless Youth Seeking a Job
  4. Human Trafficking – Addressing Human Trafficking of Our Homeless Youth
  5. Homes for Youth – Providing Transitional Housing for Homeless Youth

Tribute and In Memoriam Donations

Tribute donations are given in honor or memory of a special person, special occasion, or acknowledgment of extraordinary service. Please indicate that your donation is in tribute/memory of someone when donating online or when you contact us by phone or mail.

Corporate and Local Business Giving

Engaging with Tumbleweed on behalf of vulnerable and homeless youth can be one of the best things your company and your employees will ever do for Billings. Download our Sponsorship and Corporate Impact form with our 2018 events calendar.

Foundations and Civic Organization Grants

We welcome the engagement of foundations and civic organizations to make an impact on youth, quality of life for low-income individuals, educational opportunities, self-reliance and overall human and social services. Download our 2018 Needs and Vision Statement.

Banking Institutions and Community Reinvestment Opportunities

Tumbleweed supports homeless youth and young adults through its Resource Center. Our services target low-income criteria. We invite you to support youth through financial support of the Resource Center as well as Employee Volunteer Mentoring.

Planned Giving and Legacy Gifts

We welcome your gift of a bequest of cash or assets, life insurance, trusts, charitable annuities and other retirement assets. We encourage you to contact us at 406-259-2558 to discuss your plans and how we can help you accomplish your charitable lifetime goal.

Stocks & Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated stock instead of cash is a wonderful way to support Tumbleweed and take a charitable deduction.  Please contact us at 406-259-2558 about this method of adding to your support to change young lives at Tumbleweed.

Real Estate Gifts

Tumbleweed gratefully accepts gifts of real estate — in particular, houses that may be just the right fit for our Transitional Living Program for which we currently have a waiting list. Such a donation would help determined youth leave the streets and build a new life. Other types of real property and land may also be appropriate. Please contact us at 406-259-2558 for more information about the process for such gifts.
